Our story

In 2024, Beatrice Edwards launched Gaemster Game Studio with one mission: to build games, books and experiences that spark joy, curiosity — and just enough chaos to keep things interesting.
What started as a dream to create indie games people actually love has grown into a full creative studio: a growing library of browser and mobile games, the Glitchtown Files sci-fi series, coloring books and brain-game puzzle books — and now a game platform with Daily Challenges, leaderboards and player profiles. Today the studio builds more than games: WordPress plugins, developer tools and software, made with the same care as everything else we create.
Gaemster is proudly woman-owned and remotely operated out of Des Moines, Iowa — fueled by the belief that games aren’t just entertainment. They’re connection, creativity and community. Oh — and Meep helps too. 🤖

Beatrice Edwards launches a woman-owned indie studio in Des Moines, Iowa, to build games that spark joy, curiosity and chaos.

Street Defenders ships 🏰
Street Defenders Tower Defense launches on six platforms — Steam, Apple, Samsung, Microsoft, Amazon and itch.io — and the Gaemster library starts to grow.

Books & Meep arrive 📖
The Glitchtown Files series begins with Book 1: Login Error, joined by the Meep & Friends coloring books and the Brain Games puzzle collection.
