Gaemster FormWatch
Know when your contact forms stop working, before your customers notice.

Privacy-first No form contents stored No account required
FormWatch watches your WordPress forms and mail for failures and alerts you, so you can fix lost-lead problems before your customers notice.
Forms fail quietly
A mail setting changes. A host blocks outgoing email. A plugin update breaks a form. You find out when a customer asks why nobody replied. FormWatch records what WordPress reports about your mail and forms, so you find out first.
How it works
- Install and activate. Add it from Plugins, Add New, then activate it.
- Run the mail-path test. Open FormWatch in the admin menu and send a test email to confirm WordPress can hand mail to your mailer.
- Let it listen. FormWatch records mail and form activity in the background and adds nothing to your public pages.
- Get alerted and review. When something fails you get an email and an admin notice. Open the dashboard, see what happened, and mark it reviewed.
What FormWatch does not do yet
- It reports what WordPress reports. It does not confirm that an email reached an inbox.
- Only Contact Form 7 reports a failed form email per form. For the other form plugins, FormWatch records that a submission was received.
- It does not submit test forms in a browser.
- Alerts go through your site’s own mail, so they cannot reach you if mail is completely down. That is why it also shows an admin notice.
Privacy first
What it stores
- The time of each event
- Which plugin it came from

- Whether it worked
What it never stores
- What visitors type into forms
- Email addresses inside error messages
- Anything sent to Gaemster or a third party
Tested with four of six form plugins
WordPress mail is monitored on every site. FormWatch recognizes submissions from six form plugins. It has been tested on real sites with Contact Form 7, WPForms, Formidable Forms and Fluent Forms. Questions
What is Gaemster FormWatch?
Gaemster FormWatch is a WordPress plugin that watches your site's email and your contact forms and alerts you when WordPress reports a failure, so you can fix problems before a customer notices.
Is FormWatch really free?
Yes. FormWatch Free is free forever, with no trial and no account. You can install it on as many WordPress sites as you like, and all of its local monitoring works on each one. Nothing in it is locked behind payment.
Does FormWatch store what my visitors type into my forms?
No. FormWatch never reads form field values. It records only the time, the plugin, the form title and whether it worked. Email addresses inside error messages are removed before anything is saved.
Does it confirm that an email reached the inbox?
No. It confirms that WordPress handed the message to your mailer. Check the inbox to confirm delivery, and use an SMTP service for the most reliable delivery.
Which form plugins does it recognize?
Contact Form 7, WPForms, Elementor Forms, Gravity Forms, Fluent Forms and Formidable Forms. It has been tested with Contact Form 7, WPForms, Formidable Forms and Fluent Forms. Gravity Forms and Elementor Forms are recognized from their documentation and have not been tested yet. WordPress mail is monitored whether or not you use any of them, and only Contact Form 7 reports a failed form email per form.
What happens if my site's email is completely down?
FormWatch sends failure alerts through your site's own WordPress mail, so they cannot reach you if mail is completely down. It also shows a notice on every admin screen for administrators and retries the alert a few times.
Does FormWatch need a Gaemster account or send my data anywhere?
No. FormWatch Free works entirely inside your WordPress site and makes no connection to Gaemster or any other server. If optional online services are offered in the future, they will only connect if you choose to set them up.
What will the Pro and Agency site limits mean?
Pro and Agency are coming soon and are not for sale yet. Their site limits will apply only to sites you connect to optional FormWatch Cloud features. They never limit how many sites you can install FormWatch Free on.
What does it need to run?
WordPress 5.9 or newer and PHP 7.4 or newer.
What happens to the data if I delete the plugin?
Deleting FormWatch removes everything it stored in your database. While it is installed you can export the event log as CSV or clear it at any time.
